These devices have zero issue with scanning faded, damaged, or wrinkled barcodes. Both the horizontal and vertical versions come equipped with an upwards facing LED, which informs the user of a successful product code scan, simulatenously allowing a simple way for store employees to monitor the state of self-checkout stations.
