This model has a 30% more powerful design than the ZD420 and is 700% faster than the GK series. In addition, it offers backward compatibility with virtually all existing systems, supporting EPL and ZPL languages.
The ZD421 printer supports applications from the Print DNA suite, including Printer Profile Manager Enterprise, which allows remote management of a set of devices and troubleshooting from a single location. With another tool in the suite, Virtual Devices, it can emulate other brands' languages. The model also features easy ribbon replacement through the use of a cartridge available as a purchasable accessory. Each Zebra ZD421 comes standard with a USB and USB host port, while optional ports include Ethernet, serial, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1.
