Ergonomics and comfort of work - these two slogans definitely guided the creators of new Newland products. Nwear is a new series of light, mobile devices for scanning and reading codes. Their appearance and weight definitely differ from classic Auto ID solutions, such as handheld scanners or data terminals. Particle "- wear" in the name is not accidental here, because these products are literally wearable by the user. The devices are supposed to improve the comfort of work, reduce fatigue, speed up certain activities and provide the employee with greater mobility. Therefore, we are in a hurry with the presentation of these products.
Let's start with WD1, a scanner in the form of a watch that looks confusingly like a consumer smartwatch. It is also worth mentioning its extensive possibilities. Touch screen, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, 13 megapixel camera, scanning support system are some of its many functionalities. The device runs on the proven Android 9.0, and its operation is powered by a quad-core processor (2.0 GHz). After pairing with the WD2 model, they can both create a set that will free your hands during everyday work, for example in a warehouse, thus giving the user freedom of movement and the ability to carry, move or hold cartons, boxes with goods or other necessary equipment in his hands.
WD2, on the other hand, is a small scanner with a glove overlay. It is available in two sizes and is suitable for both right and left-handed use. You can start the scanning process with just one touch of your thumb with a small button. Thanks to the intelligent Acuscan technology, the device easily captures very small and closely located codes, which eliminates the risk of error and users can be sure that they have read exactly the information they intended. Both the overlay and the scanner itself are made of the highest quality materials. The IP65 certificate guarantees protection against the harsh conditions of industrial environments.
The WD3 model is so light that the user can easily wear it on a lanyard around the neck or attach it to a belt clip. This compact barcode scanner is slim, weighs just 53 grams and is designed to be confused with an identification badge. Built-in memory allows the device to save and store scanned codes even when it is not directly connected to the host. It uses the built-in USB port and Bluetooth 5.0 to transfer information. The megapixel technology used allows the registration of 1D and 2D high-density codes. It also copes well with distorted or dirty ones, both printed on a sheet of paper and displayed on the screen.
Despite their small size, the devices have been designed to meet the highest standards of durability. Therefore, they will be ideal for production, warehouse and logistic environments, transport, sales and event organization.
