The 2023 Retail Show Fair has concluded. This year's edition has followed its' predecessors tradition of hosting inspiring conversations, exchanging exepriences, and information about new technology and expanded contact networks. During that event we were given the privilege of showing you a broad variety of Auto ID solutions from leading manufactuers. Our booth had the pleasure of hosting devices from companies such as: Argox, BarTender, Bixolon, Brother, Cilico, CipherLab, Citizen, Cambium Networks, Cubetape, Entrust, GoDEX, HID, IMAGO, Matica, Newland, NiceLabel, OHAUS, SATO, SUNMI,and Zebra.
During the Retail Congress conference which took place during the trade fair, Piotr Klepczarek - General-Director of Cubetape in the EMEA regions, accepted our invitation and gave a lecture titled: "Simplicity as an innovation in measurements in e-commerce". This presentation gave listeners insight into the benefits stemming from deploying modern measuring solutions, which Cubetape had recently released onto the market.
For another year in a row we can boast about winning an award in the prestigious Retail Innovations Awards. The winners of this year's ceremony (Retail Innovations Awards 2023) were Zebra and Cubetape, which you may find in our portfolio. Below you may find their specifications.
The first among them are single plane scanners from the SP72 series, which are new in Zebra's portfolio. These devices come in two variants: vertical (SP72-V) and horizontal (SP72-H). The SP72-V model is the first single plane scanner fitted with a 2.3 MP color camera. Its' broad point of view allows it to catch even the tiniest detail, which when combined with vision applications allows the user to identify discrepancies between the product and the scanned barcode, and also prevent fraud at self- service checkouts and related financial losses. The SP72-V is the vertical version of the scanner, which can be mounted on a wall or placed on a countertop . The SP72-H is the horizontal model suitable for expansion. It is available in two variants: sapphire glass or DLC coated glass (Diamond-Like Coating),which fulfills high durability demands. The SP72 uses the PRZM intelligent imaging technology, which guarantees reading 1D,2D, and Digimarc codes on paper, a phone screen, or light reflecting surfaces such as glass or cellophane packaging. These devices have zero issue with scanning faded, damaged, or wrinkled barcodes. Both the horizontal and vertical versions come equipped with an upwards facing LED, which informs the user of a successful product code scan, simulatenously allowing a simple way for store employees to monitor the state of self-checkout stations. The broad variety of features the SP72 scanners are equipped with enable easy integration with all known POS systems. Lightning fast code registration allows for more umożliwia łatwą integrację ze wszystkimi znanymi systemami POS. Instant code registration enables more efficient operation and thus better performance of checkout systems. Additionally, these devices are characterized by their low power consumption, meaning it practically pays for itself. The SP72 series certainly presents the greatest cost to performance ratio in its' class.
The second awardee is Cubetape's C200 scanning device. It's an innovative solution which facilitates parcel measuring. The combination of a measuring tape of 3 possible lengths (3,5 and 7.5 meters) and a scanner enables the user to perform a measurement and immediately enter the data into the system. The scanner conveniently integrates with various peripheral devices, most known WMS applications and shipping software makes it an intuitive tool for the user. The automation of the measuring process with the help of the C200 hasa substantial effect on the efficiency of processes performed in logistics centers, warehouses, and transport centers. This device, when combined with mobile computers, label printers, readers, and scales can create a compatible set, used for capturing and forwarding critical information about parcels. Daily usage of such a solution helps eliminate errors regarding parcel measurements, improve efficiency and capacity, which reduces expenses. Its' technical specifications speak for themselves: a whopping 8 hours of uninterrupted work on battery, resistance to impact against impact with concrete from up to 1,5 meters, and a guarantee of resillience in extreme conditions (Its' temperature range goes from --30°C to 70°C).
