ET51 and ET56 from Zebra Technologies is a continuation of the ET50 and ET55 series, a family of reliable devices, designed to withstand many adversities - falls, impacts, precipitation, intense dust, high temperatures, extreme frost, liquid stains or a strong stream of water under the high pressure cannot harm ET tablets.
The screens of the ET51 and ET56 tablets are reinforced with Corning Gorilla Glass. As a result, they are almost impossible to break, even when working in difficult conditions. In turn, shake resistance tests have shown that the ET51 / ET56 are insensitive to strong vibrations, which makes them an ideal solution for installation in any type of vehicle.
These devices undoubtedly combine advantages such as high mechanical resistance, the ability to record data, a very wide selection of additional accessories and elegant design.
The ET51 and ET56 computers are available with both Android 10 and Windows 10 Pro. Thanks to the universality of Android operating systems, the implementation of new employees with the ET51 and ET56 tablets is a formality - due to the fact that most people have smartphones based on these systems, employees can most often communicate with them without any problem. On the other hand, the Microsoft platform will be appropriate where it is necessary to work with applications used also on PCs - such a tablet allows not only to use ERP programs as on a stationary computer, but also to log into a remote desktop. Without the use of WMS installed directly on the device, it is possible to conveniently and wirelessly log in to another computer via a tablet.
Mobility DNA from Zebra Technologies contains many very useful software tools. Some of them are applications that increase work efficiency. Others, in turn, make the operation and management of the device even simpler and more instinctive, while others contribute to increasing work safety.
Both the ET51 and ET56 come in two sizes: a compact, 8.4-inch screen diagonal and a full-size 10.1 inch - all this with a very thin thickness and light weight, respectively: 570 g and 765 g. The larger version of the device is perfect in those applications where working with large amounts of data is crucial. For example, displaying more data can be helpful in the medical industry. In a hospital, you may need to view x-rays outside of an adapted stand. In various types of services such as service or mobile sales, then manufacturing, to heavy industry and mining, displaying more information at once can also prove to be an important asset.
Regardless of the size variant, however, the user receives a device with a high-brightness screen, which is important when working in the field, on a bright, sunny day.
Service technicians, engineers and maintenance technicians often travel many kilometers a day by car and on foot, in the field and indoors to make measurements using tablets after reaching their destination. In the construction industry and in the case of electric, water, gas, Internet and other network fitters, there is often a need to inspect technical plans. Ease of use is then important for the quality of work. In turn, the compact and convenient 8.4-inch variant is perfect where the size and weight of the device play a major role.
The high-quality screen with a high resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels is characterized by a clear display of text and graphics. It can be operated with a finger, also with gloves. Drops of water running down the screen have no effect on the efficiency of this process and precise operations can be performed using the stylus.
ET51 / ET56 tablets use many ingenious data processing technologies. For example MU-MIMO (Multiple-User Multiple Input Multiple Output) 2 × 2 should be mentioned, which allows access points belonging to the enterprise to communicate with all terminals, removing some of the calculations from them, which saves energy consumption in the mobile device and extends its working time .
Built-in Bluetooth 5.0 module offers twice as fast data transmission with four times greater range than Bluetooth 4 technology. Thanks to this, working with peripheral devices such as wireless code readers (Zebra RS5100), mobile printers (model ZQ630) or augmented reality sets is possible much more comfortable, more stable, and thus - more efficient.
In the case of the ET51 / ET56, Zebra Technologies engineers took an interesting approach to reading 1D / 2D codes. Unlike devices such as the Newland NQuire 800 II Plus or the Speedata SD100 Orion, for example, the ET series does not have an integrated module for scanning graphic codes. This not only allows the computer to be more compact, but also offers unparalleled scanning quality after replacing the battery connector with an expansion slot module, which in turn allows you to connect a high-quality, dedicated Zebra SE4750 1D / 2D scanning module. The device is then also equipped with a rotating harness to prevent it from being dropped. If the scan module is not needed, a stand-alone harness is available.
Another useful accessory is a cover made of high-quality composite, which not only increases the mechanical resistance of the computer even more, but also allows you to carry the device comfortably. The ET51 / ET56 can then be worn on the shoulder strap, on the chest strap and on the main strap at the hip.
