The 1862 handheld RFID reader is designed to provide flexibility in data collection. Unique from typical RFID readers, the CipherLab 1862 provides user extended RFID reading and writing capabilities via Bluetooth® mobile devices. In addition, it can further integrate barcode capture and RFID data collection into one robust device by simply snapping your mobile computers onto its custom mount attached to the CipherLab 1862 handheld RFID reader. User can easily switch between RFID tag reading and barcode reading via a reader switch on the 1862. Additionally, it gives user the capability to read UHF RFID tags in a distance up to 5 m, and write data up to 1.5 m away - this makes it much easier while scanning tags on products as pallets are moved through a dock door or scanning cases on a high shelf in a warehouse. Tested for durability, the 1862 can survive multiple drops onto concrete from 1.5 m (5 ft.), and 1,000 tumbles at 1 m (3 ft.), which ensures continued productivity even in the case of careless falls onto unforgiving surfaces. In addition, it is rated IP64, ensuring protection against harsh environments, such as warehouses, logistic centers, and factories.
